Since immemorial times man has wanted to expand his understanding and his ability
to communicate beyond his own species. This thirst for knowledge has contributed
to his survival and most likely gave us pets. Linking accountability and recognition
unites us to the animals we have domesticated. Contact with a different species
from ours is a moment of absolute grace which I do not tire to measure the
greatness, not as a conqueror but as privileged being.
